TAWI THE LIFE LINE OF JAMMU CITY.

When it  comes to term anything as a life line ,for the people of that particular region or for the people depending upon it on daily basis for running the vital process of their life. Then it certainly needs care and proper attention by its beneficiaries. Life line in a sence can be termed as anything as a last choice or options, Its also indicates limted availability of that particular item or resources.
 In present scenario their a lot of areas where human need to open his eyes and think thoroughly about the use of numeral resource and also required to emphasize on the judicious of these resources by keeping the future generation in mind as well .
Being a resident of jammu city, l feel proud on what we are doing and how we are doing in other domains of our lifes but we need to stop for a while and must think about the available resource of our city . River Tawi acting as a lifeline of jammu region is on its extinction .Orginating from kailash kund glacier and adjoining area southwest of  Bhadarwah in Doda district .Tawi has been source of relaxiation terms of water supply of many towns and city at its basin. If we take about the volume of water that has reduced to the lowest level has became a burning point for the people of jammu city .Every creature needs water for survival and that's how the smooth functioning of life can be ensured. But when water will become scarce it would be tiugh for everyone to live life fully.
More than 50% of water based needs used to get fulfiled by the flow of this river but that has shrink to the minimal level. Those areas touching Tawi basin or being at a reaching distance have now started facing water crisis slowly. Agricultural practices which are dependent on this very river of jammu city will get affected severely and the results of which are clear even in current times.
Cattle rearing have been widely practiced specially by gujjars on the bank of Tawi river which is being severely affected.it's not easy for the community to quench the threst of their buffalos by bottle water supply. 
Being a beneficiary of the river we can contribute to many way to maintain its purity . 
Garbage must not be thrown into Tawi water which further will make its unwell. Campaigns, Discussion and Seminars should be organised to spread awarness among people volunteer organizations should  taken a step further to ensure its safity and must promote the future possible situation which me arise due to the ignorance of people and may lead to survive consequences.

To conclude it. I would say that the has come for ever citizen to feel responsible towards such issues, and must not wait for authority to come act rather make your initiative and spred awareness about the future painfull results.
